Alwaleed Philanthropies Signs MoU with Monsha’at to Empower Social Entrepreneurship
Alwaleed Philanthropies, chaired by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal AlSaud, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority “Monsha’at” during the “Biban” 2025 Forum, held at Riyadh under the theme “A Global Destination for Opportunities.”
The MoU aims to support and empower the social entrepreneurship ecosystem, as well as small and medium enterprises, through joint programs and initiatives that enhance social and economic impact while enabling entrepreneurs to develop their ventures in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The MoU was signed by HRH Princess Lamia bint Majed AlSaud, Secretary General of Alwaleed Philanthropies, and Mr. Sami Alhusseini, Governor of Monsha’at.
This partnership reflects Alwaleed Philanthropies’ ongoing efforts to empower women and youth in the field of entrepreneurship and to support community-based initiatives that drive sustainable impact and contribute to building a more prosperous society in line with Vision 2030. It also aligns with Monsha’at’s efforts to strengthen collaboration with the nonprofit sector, create innovative development opportunities, and foster social entrepreneurship to position the Kingdom as a leading hub for impactful and sustainable initiatives.
Biban 2025 serves as a national platform that brings together the public and private sectors to support small and medium enterprises and open new horizons for investment and development opportunities across the Kingdom.
HRH Princess Lamia bint Majed Al Saud, Secretary General of Alwaleed Philanthropies, emphasized that this agreement reflects the foundation’s vision to empower women and youth to become drivers of positive change in their communities, saying:
